Water Supply

When the old owner transfers his property to the new owner with the will of both parties.

In this case, the change of name in the water contract can be requested by both parties provided that all obligations pertaining to the contract have been paid.

The documentation accepted in these cases is:

  • Registration certificate in the IPRO in the name of the buyer for the object for which the contract was opened/Sale-Purchase Contract before the notary/Donation Contract/Exchange Contract/Clearing Contract.
  • Identification document
  • Water book

In the case where the object is rented and it is requested to change the name on the invoice , the application for the name change must be signed by both parties, the landlord (owner of the object) and the tenant.

The application must be accompanied by:

  • Identification document of the landlord and tenant;
  • Lease contract; ownership documentation;
  • Water book

Cases when property is inherited based on legal or testamentary inheritance

In these cases, the property owner presents:

  • Proof of legal inheritance or proof of testamentary inheritance or Certificate of Ownership issued by the IPRO in the name of the property owner accompanied by the death certificate of the contractor, a family certificate to prove his relationship with the heirs.
  • In the case where the deceased contractor has left several heirs, then the latter must sign a declaration that the water contract is transferred to the name of one of the heirs. If this document is not issued, then the contract is transferred to the name of all heirs. The obligations of the contract are transferred to pay the heirs of the deceased contractor.

The case when the spouses divorce.

In these cases, the name change in the FUP contract is made in the name of the one who, by a final court decision, has been recognized as the owner and/or possessor of the object after the separation, who also bears the obligation to pay the obligations arising from the water contract. In the case when the object is divided into equal parts, then the contract will be transferred to both names or in the case of an agreement between the parties, one of them issues a statement through which he accepts that the FUP contract be transferred to the name of the former spouse.

The case when the contract data of budgetary entities is changed

In these cases, the name change or the clarification of other data in the FUP contract is made in the name of the institution that transfers the property to administration by Decision of the Council of Ministers or by Order of the relevant Minister.

  • Copy of NIPT
  • Authorization for the person who will perform the actions
  • Identification document of the authorized person.

The cases for which corrections are made to the data of the water supply contract and the actions that are performed are:

Correction of the name and/or surname when the contractor has it correctly registered in the booklet but it is not properly registered in the SMI. In these cases, the contractor submits:

  • Copy of the water booklet
  • Copy of the ID card
  • A copy of the invoice.

Correction of the name and/or surname when the contractor has it correctly registered in the system but it is not properly registered in the booklet. In these cases, the contractor submits:

  • Original water book.
  • Copy of ID card, a copy of invoice and a copy of the property ownership deed of the facility, as well as payment of the fee for a new book.

Correction of the name and/or surname when they were recorded incorrectly in the SMI and book. In these cases, the contractor submits:

  • A copy of invoice and payment of the fee for a new book
  • Copy of the ID card
  • Original water book.

Correction of the contractor's address in cases where the address was recorded incorrectly in the SMI and is correct in the water book. In these cases, the contractor submits:

  • Copy of the water book.
  • Copy of ID card, a copy of invoice and a copy of the property ownership deed of the facility.

Correction of the contractor's address in cases where the address was recorded incorrectly in the water book and is correct in the SMI. In these cases, the contractor submits:

  • Original water license
  • Copy of the ID card
  • A copy of the invoice
  • One copy of the property ownership deed and payment of the fee for a new license.

 Correction of the contractor's address in cases where the address is incorrectly registered in the SMI and incorrectly in the water license. In these cases, the contractor submits:

  • Original water license
  • Copy of the ID card
  • A copy of the invoice
  • One copy of the property ownership deed and payment of the fee for a new license.

When a subscriber who has a water contract with UKK sh.a applies for a new water meter, they must appear at the UKK Units and Points.

The documentation required in these cases is:

  • Written request
  • Water Book (photocopy of the first page) or copy of the monthly water consumption tax invoice (to find the contract number)
  • Identification document
  • Payment at the tariff cash register (or when there is no desire to make the payment at the cash register, the value of this service is placed on the following month's invoice)
  • Ownership document (only in cases where it is not available in the subscriber's file, it is required for signing the legal contract.)
  • While in cases where our employees determine that the water meter needs to be replaced or installed, the subscriber is notified and the procedure for replacing the water meter is carried out by UKK employees. The value of this service is placed on the following month's invoice.

Applicants who own/use buildings up to three floors, including old buildings, individual dwellings, extensions, apartments connected to the FUP network until now, will submit the following documentation to the Unit:

  • Written request or Standard Form for contract conclusion;
  • Identity document (photocopy of identity card, passport copy) and family certificate;
  • Ownership document, mortgage certificate or notary deed of sale. In case no ownership document is available, a copy of the application form at ALUIZNI or a Residence Certificate accompanied by the Standard Declaration according to the attached format must be submitted.
  • Layout plan of the facility or photo of the facility.
  • Personal statement (Appendix 2).
  • Payment order for the contract conclusion fee and water meter, (when the water meter is purchased from UKK-sha.)


Note:
We emphasize that the applicant must prepare the site for the installation of the meter.

Necessary documentation for concluding a contract with UKK-sh.a for multi-storey buildings:

  • Request of the entity specifying the trade name of the entity, the name of the administrator/legal representative; NIPTI, legal form (shpk/sha/natural person), the object for which contracts are requested to be concluded (No. of floors; no. of apartments with family/private unit destination; private house;) as well as the exact official address specifying the name of the Street and the number of the object (in their absence, the numbers of bordering objects)
  • A list of names (name/paternity/surname) with accurate data on the addressee of the object, apartment number, floor, area, family/private destination;
  • Ownership document (ownership certificate issued by the IPRO) and/or purchase and/or order contract and/or Clearing contract and/or exchange contract and/or donation contract and/or contract concluded between the builder and the owners of the land where the facility is built), held between the construction entity and the final consumer for each apartment and private unit (signed in the presence of a notary).
  • Identification document for each final consumer (photocopy of ID and/or biometric passport and/or family certificate);
  • Payment order for the connection point fee and contract connection fees;
  • NIPT of the construction entity
  • ID card of the legal representative;
  • Historical extract of the National Registry of Kosovo;
  • Construction Permit or in its absence, a document from the ALUIZN and/or the Local Government Unit;
  • Meter verification by the licensed entity (in case the meters are installed by the construction entity)

Required documentation for connection points to the UKK-sh.a network for multi-storey buildings:

  • Request form for water supply point and wastewater discharge point (in cases where UKK sh.a offers this service), specifying the name of the construction entity, NIPT, headquarters address and address of the facility to be supplied and the amount of water required in m3/month or liter/sec.
  • Identity document (copy of the identity card or passport of the administrator of the construction entity).
  • Construction Permit and Site Plan of the facility at a scale of 1:500 (photocopy), in cases where permission is granted by the Municipalities, it must be accompanied by the site plan of the facility obtained from Google.
  • Construction site permit and type A 3/1 form with initial updates of the engineering network.
  • Act-Control of the relocation of the engineering network (if any).
  • Form No. 4 (four sheets) accompanied by water contracts for the demolished buildings.
  • Floor plan of the building with soil settlement quotas.
  • Floor plan of the ground floor with the discharge point and the water supply point of the building.
  • Ownership document or purchase contract or confirmation of the application regarding the legalization of the building.

The necessary documentation for buildings up to three floors that do not have a connection point to the water supply and sewerage network, as well as for concluding a contract, is as follows:

  • Written request or Standard Application Form for connection point and contract conclusion, specifying the quantity to be supplied, m3/month or lek/sec.
  • Identity document (Photocopy of identity card, copy of passport) and family certificate.
  • Ownership document, Mortgage Certificate or Deed of Sale. In case no ownership document is available, a copy of the application form must be submitted to ALUIZNI or Residence Certificate and Standard Declaration according to the attached format.
  • Layout plan of the facility or photo of the facility.
  • Hydraulic Project of the internal water supply system, which is carried out by licensed persons or entities.
  • Personal statement (Annex 2).
  • Payment order for the connection point tariff and contract conclusion.
  • Construction entities that seek to enter into contracts for multi-storey residential buildings (over three floors) must submit a request for a connection point to the FUP network to the Technical Department/General Directorate of UKK sh.a.

The necessary documentation for connection points to the UKK FUP network in the construction phase of multi-storey buildings, as well as/or the opening of the provisional contract (for the construction site phase), is as follows:

  • Application form for water supply point and wastewater discharge point (in cases where UKK sh.a offers this service), specifying the name of the construction entity, NIPT, headquarters address and address of the facility to be supplied and the amount of water required in m3/month or liter/sec.
  • Identity document (copy of the identity card or passport of the administrator of the construction entity).
  • Construction Permit and Site Plan of the facility at a scale of 1:500 (photocopy),/ site plan of the facility obtained from Google.
  • Construction site permit and type A 3/1 form with initial updates of the engineering network.
  • Act-Control of the relocation of the engineering network.
  • Form No. 4 (four sheets) accompanied by water contracts for collapsed facilities (in case there were facilities on this site).
  • Floor plan of the building with soil settlement quotas.
  • Floor plan of the ground floor with the discharge point and the water supply point of the building.
  • Ownership document or purchase contract or confirmation of the application regarding the legalization of the facility.
  • Name list (name/paternity/surname) with accurate data on the addressee of the facility, apartment number, floor, area, destination (family/private).
  • Ownership document or purchase contract or enterprise contract with the construction entity (contracts signed in the presence of a notary), attached identification document for each subscriber (resident).
  • Payment order for the connection point tariff, for the conclusion of the contract and/or water meters and their initial verification when supplied and installed by UKK.

Documents that must be attached to the form at the time of submission by the citizen: Water Booklet/Kun and Identity Card.
